Asus has unveiled its latest 22in LCD screen and in doing so has prized the 'world's slimmest' crown from BenQ's sweaty grip.

The new Asus is just 45mm thin and isn't bad looking, though it's certainly no KURO either despite the grandiose sounding diamond-cut corners and glass surface and leather bedecked bezel.

The light-in-motion II dynamic lighting effects are of note however, working by shining base-mounted LEDs at the main screen to enhance ambience and dynamism.

Also featured is the ubiquitous picture optimisation technology and 'Aspect Control' support for a range of aspect ratios. Contrast ratio sits at 4000:1 using the proprietary Smart Contrast control and response time is a decent 2ms.
