The times have changed, a growing number of parents are dumping cardboard puzzle presents for electronic gadgets when it comes to presents for their children. Imaging company DXG has realized this fact and created, as well as launched, a new child-friendly 3D point-and-shoot digital camera, the DXG-018. When you buy the DXG-018 you get a package which includes the camera, three 3D viewers and a USB cable. The camera itself boosts two lenses (no info on resolution), a 1.44″ rear LCD screen, an SD card slot and AA battery operation. The 3D viewers that DXG has included are your only way of experiencing your 3D photos, the viewers will require you print out a 3D capture (4 x 6 is the recommended size for prints) and place the printed image under the viewer to see the image in 3D.

The DXG-018P 3D camera and 3D Viewers is being offered now for the reasonable price of $69.99, no SD card is included you will need to buy one yourself. DXG’s offering their 3D camera in colors that cater to girls and boys; Green, Lavender, Orange, Pink and Yellow. This camera might not offer the most ideal 3D photo experience, you can’t show captured 3D images on a 3D TV or 3D display, but it still seems like a fun little camera.
