This 'Digital Hedgehog' camera may look like a classic 110 film dinosaur but its performance is anything but ancient. Officially known as the Digital Harinezumi Double-Plus Special Edition, this cute and compact digital camera evokes memories of those cheap and cheesy low-line 110 film cameras millions of budding photographers cut their teeth on.Looks are one thing, performance is another however. Install a MicroSD card and a CR2 button battery (both not included) and you're ready to shoot either still pictures or video. The latter capability allows for 120 minutes of recording with an AVI of 25fps.

With Canon's HS system, 10 megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor, the PowerShot S95 digital camera promises astounding photo quality, HD video recording and more. Kevin Pereira and Carrie Keagan review this $400 camera for its array of features. What You Need To Know This is one of the sleekest digital compact cameras we've seen. It feels really light in your hand and is barely over an inch thick. It easily slides in your pocket since the only thing that protrudes is the lens. It's easy to use as any other digital camera. If you're familiar with Canon cameras, you'll be able to use this one with no problem.

All the buttons are self explanatory and the rotational pad is nice. One thing they added is the control ring, which you can assign different functions to, like focus, exposure, zoom, white balance, etc. It's useful but might be a bit small to get your fingers around. This also features new image stabilization technology, HD video recording and a bunch of cool photo effects. All these features work pretty well for the most part. The hybrid image stabilization uses both an accelerometer and angular sensor to eliminate blur. HD video is a nice addition, especially because it looks really good.

HTC Desire gets price cut to battle iPhone 4

The carrier now offers the HTC Desire for about $55 when you sign up for a contract (about $30 per month) that includes 100 text messages, 100 minutes and 3 GB of data. You can also get the Android-powered handset for about $76 when you sign up for a monthly contract that includes 500 text messages, 600 minutes, and 3 GB of data (about $38 a month).

The move is meant to help the HTC Desire gain traction against the Apple iPhone 4, which was just recently released. The Apple smartphone can be had on Vodafone for about $332 and a monthly contract. Is this pricing enough to make the HTC Desire a credible competitor to the iPhone 4? That’s a tough question to answer because it’s tough to top the “new-ness” of Apple’s latest smartphone but the Desire is a mighty fine handset. It’s essentially a Google Nexus One but with HTC’s Sense software.
