Samsung 6000 Series | UN40B6000, UN46B6000, UN55B6000Samsung has revealed its new widget series – Samsung 6000 Series, Samsung UN40B6000, UN46B6000, UN55B6000, which add many strengths and never neglects to lend some drawbacks either, let us accept it as a reality, as no widget can please everyone and can’t prove the choice of all people. If the 6000 series even able to polarize the fans, few in its favor, I would consider that would be a bigger strength of this series.

The price range of Samsung 6000 series is USD 1,857.00 to USD 2,699.99, so you can easily judge and draw an impression that you may need to drain your wallet for this choice, so be careful before getting one and compare it to your configuration, in case that entirely matches, that means that is all the best or otherwise.

Back in the groove - Sony launches X Series Walkman to take on Apples iPod touc

Sony, which pioneered music-on-the-move in the 1970s, hopes the X Series will compete directly with Apple’s iPod touch, and help it to regain its dominant position in the personal media player market.  “This is really a new era for the Walkman, and it has been a while since we have had a product we are this proud of,” said Wes Deering, a spokesman for Sony. “We have worked very hard to make this the best quality portable audio and video player on the market.

“We’ve worked closely with our home cinema team for the audio, with our TV people for the screen, and we are very happy with what we’ve produced.  “While the iPod is a very good product, we believe that people who value quality will prefer the X series.”

Samsung SyncMaster 765mb

October 25, 2008 |12:08 | Misc. Gadgets  By : Team X

Like the FE771SB, the Samsung SyncMaster 765mb is a 17-inch flat-screen CRT with a high-brightness feature. The monitor costs just slightly more ($220 street), but it offers more in the bargain.

Samsung calls its brighter modes MagicBright and offers three settings: Text, for typical office chores; Internet, for Web surfing; and brightest of all Entertainment, for those notoriously dark games and DVD movies. Even more important, you can define a rectangular area on the screen in which to apply the higher brightness. You can open a Highlight Zone, or window, on-screen and show a movie or TV image in Entertainment mode, while leaving the rest of the screen in the standard-brightness Text mode.

Installation and setup is easy. The front-panel controls are easy to identify, though the on-screen configuration menus can be a little confusing to navigate in places.

RIM BlackBerry Bold/BlackBerry 9000 makes official debut

May 12, 2008 |13:47 | Apple | CellPhones | Fashion | General | Lifestyle | Misc. Gadgets  By : Team X

World: Say hello to the RIM BlackBerry Bold. *Cue dramatic music* You may know it as the RIM BlackBerry 9000, but today, Research in Motion officially took the wraps off the highly anticipated and much-rumored smartphone, complete with a new name. The "Bold" is in reference to the smartphone's gorgeous display, but it's also bold in that it represents a number of new moves for the company. Oh, BlackBerry Bold, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways.

The bold and the beautiful
As we just mentioned, the device gets its name from its screen. The BlackBerry Bold features a half-VGA (480x320 pixel resolution), 65,000-color display, and during some initial product testing, research group participants repeatedly called the screen "bold" and "brilliant." The Brilliant moniker didn't really jive with the company, thus the BlackBerry Bold was born.

So just how bold is it? Well, RIM stopped by our office late last week to show us the device, and let me just tell you, I was absolutely blown away. I can pretty much say I've never seen a better-looking display on a smartphone. Colors pop off the screen, and it's really amazing how sharp and crisp everything looks on the display. We watched a couple of videos, and for the first time, we didn't notice any of that pixelation or blurriness that you typically get with phones. In addition, the menu interface has been revamped with a much more modern look and icons.

Also, as you can see from the images, the BlackBerry Bold boasts a new design. It's more elegant than models past, with curvier edges and a silver trim that complements the black casing. If you turn it over, you'll also notice that the back has a leatherette texture. No more slick plastic and RIM will sell replaceable backplates in different colors, including blue, gray, and red, if you want to spruce up your phone a bit. Sizewise, the BlackBerry Bold measures 4.5 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.5 inch deep and weighs 4.7 ounces. Kevin Michaluk over at Crackberry.com took a gamble, bought one off eBay, and posted a hands-on review. He made a good comparison and likened the device to the Motorola Q9h.

Stretched smart

April 14, 2008 |13:46 | Cars | General | Misc. Gadgets  By : Team X

the UK company which created the world's first eight-seater Ferrari based on a 360 Modena, has applied similar treatment to the smart fortwo.Known as the smaaart, it's more than twice the length of a standard fortwo at 17 feet. Unlike the Ferrari, it won't carry eight passengers - instead it has a huge central storage space in the form of a 20:1 scale replica of a drinks can (yes, complete with ringpull).

The original 600cc smart engine has been retained, but thanks to lightweight construction it can still push the car up to 80mph. The smaaart, currently the only one of its kind in the world, is available for hire, but if you want one for yourself Carbonyte will supply it for a projected cost of around £25,000. The company is also considering the possibility of a smaaart hearse.

Microsoft introduces tool for avoiding traffic jams

April 11, 2008 |13:07 | Apple | Digital Cameras | General | Misc. Gadgets  By : Team X

The new service's software technology, called Clearflow, was developed over the last five years by a group of artificial-intelligence researchers at the company's Microsoft Research laboratories. It is an ambitious attempt to apply machine-learning techniques to the problem of traffic congestion. The system is intended to reflect the complex traffic interactions that occur as traffic backs up on freeways and spills over onto city streets.

The Clearflow system will be freely available as part of the company's Live.com site for 72 cities in the United States. Microsoft says it will give drivers alternative route information that is more accurate and attuned to current traffic patterns on both freeways and side streets.

A system for driving directions that Microsoft introduced last fall was limited, because without Clearflow there was no information available about traffic conditions on city streets adjacent to the highways. Because the system assumed that those routes would be clear, drivers were on occasion sent into areas that were more congested than the freeways.

The new service will on occasion plan routes that might not be intuitive to a driver. For example, in some cases Clearflow will compute that a trip will be faster if a driver stays on a crowded highway, rather than taking a detour, because side streets are even more backed up by cars that have fled the original traffic jam.

Nokia Tube takes on the Apple iPhone: Can it really compete?

April 10, 2008 |16:27 | Apple | CellPhones | General | Home Entertainment | Misc. Gadgets | Portable Audio | Portable Video | Spy  By : Team X

Ok so it seems Nokia are getting ready for their official Apple iPhone response, the name is called Nokia Tube.

The Nokia Tube will feature a touch interface which cannot wait to play around with, and then I will tell you if it is as good as the iPhone. This brand new handset is apparently set to be as close as possible to the iPhone device and was shown at a slideshow at the Evans Data Developer Relations Conference in Redwood City, California.

The slideshow demonstrated the handsets UI plus a promotional shot featuring Shrek, vice president of Forum Nokia Tom Libretto has said that yes they do believe that they compete for the Apple iPhone’s market share even though they have not set a release date as of yet.

Apple have sold around 4 million phones since their launch but Tom Libretto said “We’ve done that [volume] since we’ve had dinner on Friday,” well let me say Libretto, yes you may have, but they were all low-end cell phones were they not?

Anyway we cannot wait to see this new handset, the world need the Nokia Tube and then and only then can we pair the two together.

HyMini Harnesses The Power of Wind To Charge Your Gadgets

April 8, 2008 |15:31 | Apple | General | Handhelds | Lifestyle | Misc. Gadgets | Spy | Transportation  By : Team X

It's been a tough day at the office - your boss has chewed you a new one because you were late to an all important meeting; your secretary has quit because you forgot it was her birthday and your wife has been on the phone all day threatening to leave you if you don't take her on a romantic weekend getaway to reignite the passion.

On top of that, the news reports are saying that the world will end in the next 20 years if we don't become greener. And while you do contemplate rolling around in a pile of radioactive goo to hulk up and take care of all your problems smashing-style, you instead opt for one of these little gadgets to do your part for the environment.

The HyMini is a handheld universal charger / adapter that can harness the power of the sun and wind to charge your gadgets. Simply attach it to the outside of your car, then drive between 14kph and 65kph (any faster and it won't make a difference, any slower and it won't do anything), and you've got yourself instant renewable energy.

Adapters are available for pretty much any type of phone or camera, and it also plugs into the mains power for when you just can't get enough wind or sun juice.
