I purchased this Law Enforcement Grade Professional Portable DVR [PV-800] on line through Safety Basement in Spring of 2009. Being a techie myself, I was anxious to try it out with my kpc-hd230cwx bullet camera. Here were my findings.
- Device is glitchy and has poor controls. Unreliable, pixelates/freezes unpredictably. Crap at any price, a rip off for what they are going for online.
- Unit contains no manufacturer info on exterior. No product name, , manufacturer logo, or part/serial numbers. This could be who-knows-where third world junk!
- Safety basement has a very unreasonable and impractical return/support policy. Basically, if you bought it, you''re on your own.
- Sly marketing calling this a Law Enforcement Grade device. What the hell does this mean anyways?
I do not recommend this DVR, it''s third world manufactured junk and it''s being pedaled as quality electronic merchandise with no product support whatsoever! AVOID!
