On November 26, 2009, Nokia announced that X6 Comes with Music is ready to go in stores. The new media phone supports unlimited subscription service.
With its 32GB of internal memory, X6 could download and keep around 7,000 songs, with no additional fees, beyond the phone’s price. The new phone can buy songs through Nokia, but also sync with both a Mac and a PC.
The standard X6, as well as the Comes with Music version, are known as being Nokia’s first phone with a capacitive touchscreen, which seems to be more precise and provide quicker response than resistive displays.
These devices benefit from a 5-megapixel camera, with dual LED flash, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi. Despite these features, the current version of the phone doesn’t support HSPA frequencies for North America. The device supports quad-band GSM and EDGE for calls and also 2G in this region.
Comes with Music Edition is priced at 450 euros ($698), without carrier discounts and includes a one-year subscription for unlimited downloads, that won’t expire once the service ends. Nokia also offers, as a standard, several games: Asphalt4, DJ Mix Tour, Spore.
